Multiple Effect Evaporator
Steam economy across several effects boils the RO reject down to a concentrated liquor, with condensate recovered back as usable water.
Once RO has taken out as much water as it can, what remains is a small, very concentrated stream. A multiple effect evaporator reuses the vapour from each effect as the heating medium for the next, which is what keeps the steam cost of concentrating that stream within reason.
We design and fabricate the effects, the thermal and steam side, and the condensate recovery that sends clean water back into the plant. Number of effects, falling film against forced circulation, and materials are chosen against your steam availability and the scaling behaviour of the liquor.
